P-Leads are a critical part of the ignition system and their good condition is vital to safety and airworthiness. P-Leads are often overlooked and seldom replaced due to lack of availability from the aircraft manufacturer and the materials to fabricate new P-Leads are not commonly available. Most P-Leads are shielded which narrows availability and skillset of P-Lead manufacturers due to materials, tooling or experience.

Bogert Aviation can fabricate P-Leads to your specifications as an "Owner Produced Part" in accordance with FAA FAR 21.303. These P-Leads are fabricated using 14 ga cable, proper materials, genuine terminal kits and additional strain reliefs. Each P-Lead is inspected and tested. It is the responsibility of the installing agency to certify that the P-Lead is airworthy and matches the requirements of the aircraft before installation.

Outstanding Service

The customer service at Bogert’s was outstanding. My order was taken by a knowledgeable representative and the order was filled and delivered on time. The new leads have been installed, however, due to some extended work associated with this annual, I have not been able to run the engines yet. I’m looking forward to being able to run the engines and am confident that the new P-leads will perform as expected.
