You are not college material!

Posted by Richard Bogert on

Let’s face it Dick, you’re just not college material. That is what my Highschool guidance councilor told me in his office. Good grief, as Charlie Brown would say. I wasn’t surprised. I struggled in school. I had a hard time focusing. I was interested in everything and wanted to know how things worked.

Maybe that’s why I landed in aviation. It is interesting and you need to know a lot about a wide range of topics, if you are going to be any good. I became very good.

I have been a professional in the aviation industry for more than 50 years and I find that there is still much to learn. I learn something new every day. I think that is an attribute of most aviation [professionals.

Bogert Aviation began in 1983 on a wing and a prayer. We succeeded. We survived. We had to reinvent ourselves several times, but we survived.

If you want something bad enough, you can have it.
