These are exactly the same flanges used in Bogert Aviation's Battery Box Modification, part number 1-1-4a under STC SA4008NM. There are a couple of scenarios when this is the right item to purchase instead of the full modification.

Worked as advertised, used with the copper wire kit in my PA-30.

Battery box upgrade

I installed the Bogert battery box mod and copper cables almost 20yrs ago in my Cherokee. I saw on Bogert’s website that new non-conductive cable flanges were available.
I think these are an excellent addition to the original battery box mod.
I highly recommend them.

Dave, I'm glad that you have been a satisfied customer for 20 years. It's hard for me to believe that we have been making the Battery Box Mod kit for more than 30 years now. We made the stamped aluminum plates for a long time but eventually we developed other manufacturing capabilities that gave us some options that we didn't have before. The Nylon inserts were first machined but now they are injection molded.
